After reading Dr Keefe and Dr Eplion’s essay Practical Tips for Preventing Cheating on Online Exams, I thought a lot about this topic and talked to some of my teacher friends. From their point of view, time limit is a must-have function when it comes to anti-cheating on online tests. The main reason is that when you can’t monitor your test takers, you need to make sure they don’t have time to cheat. What’s more, even if we don’t conclude cheating into our consideration, it’s important to make the test takers finish doing the test paper within a time limit in order to know how well their mastery of knowledge is.

ProProfs provide the services to analyze the results for users as well. My suggestion is that ProProfs is more for fun. For teachers to make timed test, you’d better use tools as QuizCreator.
